Sunday, a day of rest. And so it is for many of our café folk in Bendigo – and rightly so! They need a break too, as most of our cafes are owner-operated. There are some crazy people who get up at the crack of dawn to serve us on a Sunday, and they are:

Spring Gully breakfast

Special: Moroccan eggs at the Spring Gully General Store

Bendigo Corner Store Cafe
305 View Street
Our favourite. Fabulous daily specials, and they use organic ingredients wherever possible. Try and nab a spot under the front verandah, if we don’t get there first. Breakfast served to all ages from 8am until 4pm.

Sim’R 236 Hargreaves Street
HEAPS to choose from; everyone catered for. Menu changes seasonally, and THEY BAKE THEIR OWN AWESOME BREAD. Enough said.
Open from 8am-3pm on Sunday. Bookings are welcome.

Cortille 322 Lyttleton Terrace
A Bendigo favourite – open from 8am-3pm and they have an ALL DAY BREAKFAST. Their Axil coffee hits the spot and they have a modern menu with quite a few vegetarian, vegan, paleo and kid-friendly options. Like!

Gorgeous backyard at Percy and Percy.

Gorgeous backyard at Percy and Percy.

Cafe El Beso

Real food. Delicious. Great chai. Sit on View Street and watch the world go by.
Open from 10am-3pm.

Spring Gully General Store 134 Spring Gully Road
We’ve snuck this newbie a bit further down the list here so you maybe don’t go there and we can can get a table. Adam also owns the Bendigo Corner Store cafe, so there are few familiar items on the menu, as well as some unique to Spring Gully. Quite a few vego options. Coffee is awesome.
